I say you don't deserve more than 2 character slots.
10k can be gained in one fow/uw/doa clear. If you can't do that, get 15k balth faction and buy zkeys. If you CAN'T THAT OR WIN HOH, DON'T F'ING PLAY THIS GAME.

you fail at this topic
you can obtain a sigil in HoH or something or just buy it
yea it costs alot but it's that or desperatly finding a group for HA that only wants R6+
but that PvE'ers don't deserve a GH is total bullsh*t
it's a worthwhile farming for it but you'll get it eventually

Dryndalyn, I'm sure you have some sort of principles regarding this sigil.
But really - I'll just give you one ingame tonight. It's easier that way.

Here a PvEer wants a way to get a pvp item- PvEers agree, PvPers don't

except that in this case, there is already a way of getting it as a PvE player (the sigil trader). The OP just wants another way because the current way doesnt allign with her ingame beliefs or something like that ...

Sigils can be gained through PvE. Monsters drop gold, which can in turn be exchanged for a Sigil. No one is telling you to PvP for your sigil. Like others have said, do you only use runes you find yourself? Do you only make armor from materials you salvage yourself?
Add that to the fact the Guild Hall really doesn't have a purpose beyond GvG. Any NPC's you can buy through the Hall are available at almost every outpost.

I payed 70K for my sigil long ago and have now spent insane amounts of money purchasing every NPC for the Hall.
If you can't afford the sigil, then the hall is worthless to you since you won't be adding the NPC's.
If your buying a hall to GvG, then you should be able to get 1K from each of the guild members that wish to GvG and purchase the hall collectively.
Note* I PvE only (save for some AB now and then) and my guild has been strictly PvE since its creation. We like having the Guild Hall as a place to log on and off, do trades, sit and talk or just meet to set up for a mission.

failthread is full of fail.
Just buy the darn guild hall if you need it and can't pvp. Then look at the prices of guild hall upgrades and create more qq threads ;p
/notsigned for having sigils drop in PvE

Besides, I have 42 characters to put in armor and getting runes and weapons for 42 sets of heroes breaks my budget. Yes, I have too many characters and will never do that again, but because of this I pinch my gp as tightly as I can.
But more importantly, it's the principle of the thing.

A Guild Hall was meant to be a PvP thing.
You're lucky the Sigils are even tradeable.

Call Dr. Phil. Maybe he can offer you advice on how to get through this. 42 characters, and a simple way to acquire what you want, yet you won't use that method.
10 characters would allow you to have 1 of each class.
If you want to help people who are new, and just starting, and using a new character yourself, buy an 11th slot and delete/recreate a character as needed.
Buy a 12th for occassional PvP/AB, etc. if you decide you want to do that.
You would be surprised to learn how many of the PvP players have earned a Sigil themselves. Even the people who PvP do not always play HA, or win. Even those that win do not always get a Sigil. Some people play HA a lot, and win a lot, and have earned a lot of Sigils. That is how the people who don't play PvP are able to purchase the Sigils from the trader.
If you want a goal, make the goal earning the money to buy a Sigil from playing PvP, not PvE. That way you are still earning the Sigil in the way you are supposed to (loosely).
Wow..... I'm amazed someone would actually admit to this kind of insanity. I truly hope you are exaggerating, or seeking professional help. This sounds like a mental problem, not a GW problem.

There is a PvE way to get it. Spend the trivial 10-20K and buy it. I remember when you had to have both the plat and the faction to get a guild hall. I still dislike PvP, but I WANTED my own hall so I did random arenas until I had the points required.
To the OP, put up or shut up. You don't have to PvP to get a hall anymore, spend the money or go without a guild hall. Simple choice.

/agree with that. The sigil, cape, all that jazz was easy. paying the 200k+ to fully equip it, now that's a challenge.

You get Shards from FoW
You get Ectos from UW
You get Gems from DoA
You get Faction from AB
You get Rating from GvG
You get Fame and Sigils from HA
I really don't see anything wrong with certain formats having exclusive rewards.

Think of it like this... you said it takes alot of effort to earn a sigil. Ever heard of 'noob hour' like 2am when nobody plays? This is when sway and heroway dominate halls and get sigils. These groups dont have any communication other than teamchat and dont use tactics. they dont use any kind of effort or anything! when u buy a sigil, just think to yourself, this sigil was made by someone whos almost r2! gratz to him!

Everything in GW costs gold. Armor doesn't drop and if you want to wait until 168 (42 characters and their heroes, assuming you always use the same three heroes) Superior Vigor runes have dropped, I wish you the best of luck. Simply put, gold drops so you can buy stuff with it and I really don't see the problem in buying a Celestial Sigil. Would you feel differently if Celestial Sigils could be bought from merchants for 10K? (ANet, this is not a suggestion!)
I really do understand your point; you feel that ANet discriminates against PVE'ers, but that is just not true. In fact, it's just the other way around. After all, PVP'ers can't get everything either. They can't get (or even trade for) elite armor and they can't get green items.

what if someone who won halls gave you a sigil? that still doesnt count?
How about joining a guild with a hall
Just drop the idea that you must aquire it yourself. Its like OCD in a game... if you buy it the world wont end, all that happens is u get a hall. You say its on principle, but you are the only one in the game who has this principle. Just buy a sigil lol
